China on Dec 9 officially launched its long-planned national oil and gas pipeline network company, to help meet the nation's increasing energy needs.
The definition, long-term goal, application scenario framework and application paradigm of the digital twin of oil and gas pipeline proposed in this paper lay the foundation for the establishment of the digital twin standard of oil and gas pipeline industry. Data standards for oil and gas pipelines are not yet unified.
In recent years, China has seen rapid development of the construction of the natural gas pipeline network.
At present, there are still many technical and application bottlenecks in the field of oil and gas pipeline, and the digital twin of oil and gas pipeline system cannot be overcome in one battle.
