Installing the Batteries: Open the battery door at the bottom of the back of the camera. If the battery door is too tight to open with your fingers, use a tool to help pop it open. Install four AAA batteries into the battery chamber and close the Battery door.
A LiftMaster 373LM does not require a battery, according to the Passage. If your film camera has manual settings for iris (aperture) and shutter speed, no light meter, no auto focus, and no auto exposure, there is no need for a battery. I used several cameras like that, decades ago.
