Lithium ion or polymer cells need to be protected from under or over discharging, which can be really bad. This is done by a battery management system/board, or BMS. It's a device that combines battery protection for multiple cell batteries like we are building. It’s called a battery management system or BMS for short.
That’s why these batteries should go together with a battery management system unit or BMS. This will control the voltage and current from the battery and keep them safe. Usually, the nominal voltage of a LIPO battery is 3.8 volts and 4.2V when fully charged.
Solder the positive (red wire ) from the DC jack and Rocker switch to the P+ of the BMS, negative wires from the DC jack, and Battery level indicator to the P- of BMS. Then apply hot glue at the base of the battery compartment, then secure the battery pack. So that it will seats firmly and prevent any loss of wire connections.
But unlike other types of batteries, for example, lead-acid or nickel batteries, lithium-ion batteries are very demanding for the charger parameters.
