Can ferrite bead be used for a 3.3V sensor?

For this sensor you need 3.3V analog power supply and 1.8V, 1.2V digital power supplies. Also, the 1.8V power pins are close to the 3.3V analog pins. Thus I'd like to use ferrite bead to prevent noises in 3.3v rail generated by 1.8V digital power rails. But I have no idea what kinds of ferrite beads would be appropriate for this.

How do I select appropriate ferrite beads for power supply rails?

How to select appropriate ferrite beads for power supply rails Decide on what interfering frequencies you generally have. Decide on which of these interfering frequencies will give you problems. Choose the most appropriate bead or other method.

What happens if ferrite beads are used for power supply filtering?

However, when using ferrite beads for power supply filtering, the load current going through the ferrite bead is never zero, and as dc bias current increases from zero, all of these parameters change significantly. As the dc bias current increases, the core material begins to saturate, which significantly reduces the inductance of the ferrite bead.

Why are ferrite beads used in PCB decoupling?

This means that ferrite beads are particularly valuable for decoupling in PCBs with multiple digital components, because they tend to isolate each IC from noise generated by all the other ICs. It is usually preferable to supply analog and digital power to a mixed-signal IC by generating separate supply voltages via two linear regulators.

How do I choose a ferrite bead?

The previous article discussed the importance of carefully considering impedance vs. frequency characteristics when choosing a ferrite bead: whenever possible, the targeted noise frequencies should fall within the bead’s “resistive band,” meaning the range of frequencies in which the resistive impedance dominates the reactive impedance.

What is a ferrite bead model?

The ferrite bead model can be useful in noise filtering circuit design and analysis. For example, approximating the inductance of the bead can be helpful in determining the resonant frequency cutoff when combined with a decoupling capacitor in a low-pass filter network.
