Status of grid-connected distributed photovoltaic system is researched in this paper, and the impact of distributed photovoltaic power generation on the power distribution network is analyzed in terms of power flow, node voltage and network loss. The solar PV system should be integrated into the distribution network only up to the maximum possible capacity that the network can carry. The maximum penetration level is determined to be 48% by considering the total voltage harmonic distortion and current demand distortion.
