Abstract – This paper models PV cells as a single-diode electrical equivalent circuit.
One basic equivalent circuit model in common use is the single diode model, which is derived from physical principles (e.g., Gray, 2011) and represented by the following circuit for a single solar cell: The governing equation for this equivalent circuit is formulated using Kirchoff’s current law for current $$I$$: $$I=I_L – I_D – I_ {sh}$$
The proposed modeling algorithm can validly establish electrical equivalent circuit models for PV cells having any semiconductor materials. The excellence of the proposed theory is proved by comparing the modeling performance of the proposed algorithm with the values in the manufacturer’s datasheet and with the results of existing algorithms. 2.
Equivalent circuit models define the entire I-V curve of a cell, module, or array as a continuous function for a given set of operating conditions. One basic equivalent circuit model in common use is the single diode model, which is derived from physical principles (e.g., Gray, 2011) and represented by the following circuit for a single solar cell:

In this paper, an equivalent circuit model for the hybrid perovskite solar cell is proposed in which the reasons for origin of hysteresis is characterized as varying capacitance to model hysteresis. A Landau-Khalatnikov subcircuit which portrays this variation is the principal addition to the conventional model to include hysteresis effect.
